He (Socrates) is the most distinguished of all philosophers

He is the most distinguished of all philosophers and was highly versed in wisdom...He dissuaded men from worshipping idols and taught them the way of God, the Lord of Mercy, until the ignorant rose up against him. (Tablets of Bahá'u'lláh p 146) Likewise, he praised Empedocles, Pythagoras, Plato and Aristotle. (Tablets of Bahá'u'lláh p 147)

Baha'u'llah is Lord of creation, the movement of Whose Pen hath revolutionized the soul of mankind

Baha’u’llah said : He was the “Lord of creation, the movement of Whose Pen hath revolutionized the soul of mankind.” (Baha’u’llah: The Kitab-i-Aqdas, Page: 39) Also, He spoke of Himself as “He, for Whose sake the world was called into being.” (Baha’u’llah: Epistle to the Son of the Wolf Page: 56) Finally, He calls upon us to ‘proclaim’ this new announcement: “Behold, your Well-Beloved hath come among men! . . . Lo, the Adored One hath appeared arrayed in the fullness of His glory!” (Baha’u’llah: Gleanings, Page: 320) and “The Promised Day is come and the Lord of Hosts hath appeared.” (Baha’u’llah: Tablets of Baha'u'llah, Page: 239)
