By God! He Who hath been named YHWH "Jehovah" in the Torah hath come

He (Baha'u'llah) it is Who, in the Old Testament (Torah) hath been named YHWH "Jehovah” …

Text in AQA, Vol. 2, p. 28; trans. Shoghi Effendi, cited in The Dispensation of Baha'u'llah, p. 13 (adapted).

He (Baha'u'llah) it is Who, in the Old Testament (Torah) hath been named YHWH "Jehovah”

In a number of his epistles of the late ‘Akka period, Bahá'u'lláh clearly claimed to be YHWH, the Divinity Who conversed with Moses from the burning bush and whose eschatological advent as “YHWH of hosts” (“the Lord of hosts”) was predicted by the Israelite prophets. In, for example, the following lines addressed to a Jewish convert to the Baha'i Faith named Aqa Jan, Baha'u'llah writes:
The Face of the Ancient One [Baha'u'llah] hath turned towards the sages (hukama) in the Land of al-ha' and al-mim [Hamadan, in Iran] and announceth unto them the glad-tidings of the Ridvan (Paradise) of God, the Lord of all the worlds: “By God! He Who hath been named YHWH "Jehovah" in the Torah hath come.

No God is there except Me, the Mighty, the Knowing

This is the Day in which He Who cried out on the Mount (munad at-tur) hath held converse and the Lord of Hosts proclaimed before all the world: “No God is there except Me, the Mighty, the Knowing.” 1 ‘Abdu’l-Baha specifically identified the Biblical “Lord of Hosts” with his father and spoke of the “hosts" as the stalwart members of the Baha’i community. 2

He (Socrates) is the most distinguished of all philosophers

He is the most distinguished of all philosophers and was highly versed in wisdom...He dissuaded men from worshipping idols and taught them the way of God, the Lord of Mercy, until the ignorant rose up against him. (Tablets of Bahá'u'lláh p 146) Likewise, he praised Empedocles, Pythagoras, Plato and Aristotle. (Tablets of Bahá'u'lláh p 147)

Baha'u'llah is Lord of creation, the movement of Whose Pen hath revolutionized the soul of mankind

Baha’u’llah said : He was the “Lord of creation, the movement of Whose Pen hath revolutionized the soul of mankind.” (Baha’u’llah: The Kitab-i-Aqdas, Page: 39) Also, He spoke of Himself as “He, for Whose sake the world was called into being.” (Baha’u’llah: Epistle to the Son of the Wolf Page: 56) Finally, He calls upon us to ‘proclaim’ this new announcement: “Behold, your Well-Beloved hath come among men! . . . Lo, the Adored One hath appeared arrayed in the fullness of His glory!” (Baha’u’llah: Gleanings, Page: 320) and “The Promised Day is come and the Lord of Hosts hath appeared.” (Baha’u’llah: Tablets of Baha'u'llah, Page: 239)

Do the sons recognize the Father, and acknowledge Him, or do they deny Him

Now, I am asking you to renew your faith in Christ Jesus, by recognizing Him Who is the return of that same Jesus. I am bringing you His message that “the Father hath come” and I bring you as well His appeal to Christians: “Tell Me then: Do the sons recognize the Father, and acknowledge Him, or do they deny Him, even as the people aforetime denied Him (Jesus)?

O Queen in London! Incline thine ear unto the voice of thy Lord

O Queen in London! Incline thine ear unto the voice of thy Lord, the Lord of all mankind, calling from the Divine Lote-Tree Verily, no God is there but Me, the Almighty, the All-Wise! Cast away all that is on earth, and attire the head of thy kingdom with the crown of the remembrance of Thy Lord, the All-Glorious. He, in truth, hath come unto the world in His most great glory, and all that hath been mentioned in the Gospel hath been fulfilled.

The land of Syria hath been honored by the footsteps of its Lord, [that is, Baha’u’llah] the Lord of all men, and North and South are both inebriated with the wine of His presence. Blessed is the man that hath inhaled the fragrance of the Most Merciful, and turned unto the Dawning-Place of His beauty, in this resplendent Dawn.

In all the world of creation all the existent beings are in the utmost connection

In all the world of creation all the existent beings are in the utmost connection. Through this connection, mutual helpfulness and co-operation is realized. This mutual helpfulness and co-operation is the origin of the conservation of the forces of life. If for one instant this mutual helpfulness and co-operation were cut off from the sources and realities of things, all the existent beings and things would be thrown into confusion and chaos and be reduced to nothingness and annihilation. For instance, from the breath of the animals a watery element, called hydrogen, and carbon is exhaled and this is the life principle of the vegetable kingdom. From the vegetable kingdom and the trees, a fiery element, called oxygen, is emitted and this becomes the cause of the maintenance of the life of the animal kingdom.

Faith of Muhammad and Faith of Christ Bahai Bahaullah

In the Muhammadan Revelation, however, although His Faith as compared with that of Christ was, so far as the administration of His Dispensation is concerned, more complete and more specific in its provisions, yet in the matter of succession, it gave no written, no binding and conclusive instructions to those whose mission was to propagate His Cause. For the text of the Qur’án, the ordinances of which regarding prayer, fasting, marriage, divorce, inheritance, pilgrimage, and the like, have after the revolution of thirteen hundred years remained intact and operative, gives no definite guidance regarding the Law of Succession, the source of all the dissensions, the controversies, and schisms which have dismembered and discredited Islám.

This is the meaning of the “Day of Resurrection, ” spoken of in all the scriptures, and announced unto all people. Reflect, can a more precious, a mightier, and more glorious day than this be conceived, so that man should willingly forego its grace, and deprive himself of its bounties, which like unto vernal showers are raining from the heaven of mercy upon all mankind? Having thus conclusively demonstrated that no day is greater than this Day, and no revelation more glorious than this Revelation...

Their Majesties, the kings - may God assist them - or the counselors [i.e. government ministers] of the earth must consult together, and appoint one of the existing languages, or a new language, and instruct the children therein, in all the schools of the world; and the same must be done with respect to writing also [i.e. a common script]. In such case the earth will be considered as one.

The Baha’i concept of the “Most Great Peace” is a condition of the world in which all nations have united in a permanent accord, abandoning war and re¬garding all countries as one home for all. This alludes to the Biblical eschato¬logical vision of a final, ultimate peace on earth brought about through the potent inspiration or presence of God.

We have formerly commanded, in the tablets, that the trustees of the House of Justice must select one tongue out of the present languages, or a new language, and likewise select one among the various scripts and teach them to children in the schools of the world, so that the whole world may thereby be considered as one native land and one place.
